The SpringHill Company owns four notable brands built by Carter and his long-time friend and business partner, LeBron James, all with a common thread of empowering others. These brands include the athlete storytelling brand
UNINTERRUPTED, the entertainment and creative community led brand SpringHill, the cultural conversation brand The Shop, and the culture shaping consultancy business The Robot Company. Each of these sub-brands serves different audiences across various mediums but they all carry James and Carter’s emphasis on authentic storytelling and empowerment for all.
Initially created as a banner for James and Carter’s first foray into film with the 2008 documentary “More Than A Game” chronicling their formative years at St. Vincent – St. Mary high school, The SpringHill Company was formally established in 2020 with the vision of empowering others through authentic storytelling and brand building. This philosophy, coupled with Carter’s leadership, continues to guide the company’s day-to-day strategy that paves a path to building a leading entertainment company focused on its valuable brands and IP. Through the company’s various brands, it has produced award-winning content recognized by the Emmys, Cannes Lions Awards, NAACP Image Awards and the Webby Awards. In 2021, The SpringHill Company assembled a transformational investment group including RedBird Capital, Fenway Sports Group, Nike, and Epic Games to elevate the company and support its strategic vision. With this strategic raise, The SpringHill Company sought to expand its IP development, commerce, content, live events and brand consulting capabilities both domestically and abroad.
Inspired by Maverick Carter’s passionate curiosity, in 2023 The SpringHill Company’s entertainment and creative community brand SpringHill launched a new digital interview series,
Mavericks with Mav Carter, that features insightful interviews with Carter and some of today’s leading innovators and disruptors. After a successful first season that featured guests like Kim Kardashian, Ice Cube, Shonda Rhimes, Mark Cuban, and more, the series has continued for a second season where Carter sits down with Kamala Harris, Kelly Rowland, Ryan Coogler and many other creative leaders. The series and its insightful conversations continues to be a multi-platform hit for the SpringHill brand and the larger company.
